The other day I saw an idea that would most definately be used if I had a home; an old drum as a side table.  The old animal skin, criss cross tied down to the barrel.  It was filled with a little sand and set beside the couch.  Nice!

Cotton crinkle skirts are very cool for FL's summers.   Only problem is, the 5th step outside, and there are NO crinkles left.  None at all, just a poofy, puffy skirt.  Ha

Cheney Brothers is a great place to get food for preps.  It is a surplus store of items that are stocked at Whole Foods, Fresh Market etc. It is essentially gormet, organic items at "cheaper than Walmart" prices.  I'm tripping there next week while Mary works with her stuff.

We had a very interesting morning one day last week.  We embarqed on a free tour of the Tampa Bay Port.  Ships, dry docks, petrolium plants, grain bins, cattle yards, steel piles, gasoline tanks, Cruise Ship docks, etc, etc...   After the boat tour, we climbed aboard a retired World War 11 ship.   Talk about Immense!  We took so many pictures, my camera got piping hot.  We have never been exposed that that kind of life before.  It sort of gives one the "sea bug"

Tomorrow is our last gospel meeting of the year.  Kind of sad to think about the year ending with my co and the field.  A bright side is that Mary and I both agree that we've had enough meetings for a while!  We hear that in Ireland, they sort of have a six week mission pattern, and it's rather easy to figure out why:)  I guess there are a few more in Miami coming up.

Here's a wee secret...dundadunn.   We're spending the 17th and 18th at a cabin in Everglade City with Ruth & Tina!  The lodge is about 100 years old and has housed many presidents and actors.  We don't care much about that, accept for the fact that it must be a good quality place!  It is located on the Dundee River, which leads out through the 10,000 Islands to the Gulf.  We plan on taking an airboat ride through the wilderness and then we'll settle down to enjoy Everglade City.  It's a quaint, old fishing village on the SW tip of FL.  Summer rates are astonishingly Cheap.  We'll make visits on the way down, and then mosy across the Everglades to Miami.  More visits there, and then Mary and Jennifer take off for Georgia.  Irene and I will have two more weeks in Miami until prep time.  There's August for you!
